Issue: On certain vehicles, the front brake caliper mounting bolts may not be properly tightened. This could cause the bolts to loosen, which may result in reduced brake effectiveness. Safety Risk: Reduced brake effectiveness could cause an increase in stopping distance and create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the front brake caliper mounting bolts.
