Certain vehicles may not comply with the side impact protection requirements of United States Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 214, which is voluntarily-adopted in Canada. As a result, rear seat occupants could be at a higher risk of injury in a side-impact crash. Correction: Dealers will modify the left and right rear seat interior side panels to increase their energy absorbing performance.
