On certain vehicles equipped with Cummins ISL engine, the exhaust pipe may disconnect from the muffler/catalyst. If this occurs on a twin-steer configured vehicle where the vehicle is operated from the right side, the operator may be exposed to carbon monoxide, which could result in asphyxiation or carbon monoxide poisoning. Correction: Dealers will install a different length exhaust flex pipe and a turbocharger outlet pipe to reduce rigidity of the exhaust to address this condition.
